LG G5 wont turn on and get flashing red light

Android Enthusiasts Asked on January 9, 2021

Lg phone battery drained and reached critical level and shut off. Plugged it in to charge and nothing was happening (no flashing light or anything). After 4 hrs of being plugged in to wall (made sure outlet and cord are ok) still not showing any signs of charging. Tried taking battery out and re-inserting and now red light flashing while phone plugged into outlet but doesn’t seem to charge and not able to get to home screen (because not charged enough hopefully). Just wanted to also note my phone memory was pretty full because of pictures (not sure if that matters). Don’t know if my phone is fried…. 🙁 I bought a new battery and this didn’t help either. Could somebody please help

the red flashing light could be just due to a battery problem. Try this first https://thedroidguy.com/2016/09/fix-lg-g5-wont-turn-troubleshooting-guide-1060702 However it could very well be a problem with software. Most phones shutdown before the battery gets completely drained. I don't know if such chargers are available where you live, but technicians use chargers with prongs that connect to your battery to jumpstart it (You should not do this yourself) Try using a charged battery. If that does not work, you should take it to a repair centre.
