Cuphead single keyboard local co-op with UCR

I usually play the cuphead local co-op with keyboard and xbox controller but I dont have the controller with me now. So it got me wondering if i could play co-op mode with a single keyboard.

I looked it up and found that a combination of ucr and interception can be used to remap keyboard keys as multiple xbox controllers so i setup a profile for one controller and mapped the keys for player2 and activated it. But when i launch the game and press any of the mapped keys as i would on the controller nothing happens.

I searched for solutions before coming here, but a lot of them are for the older version of ucr and none are specific to my needs. Any idea how to get it to work?
