Does the character you select influence how an area is made?

While doing a run of Area 3 in the Caeldippo Caves (which was 40 minutes long and got me to completing it), i got a whole bunch of Gemstones, enough to open every chest and almost everything at the Merchant twice (as i encountered him twice, one in section 2 and one before the boss).

during this run i was playing Lucy and compared to the other characters, she got way more Gemstones (before my first merchant visit i had 11 gemstones. my average is generally 3 by the time i reach the mini boss).

while playing Area 2 as Linda, i noticed that there was alot of health potion drops than normal, more so than when i was playing as Lucy above and with both being ranged, i was keeping enemies at a distance and both weren’t getting damaged alot.

While playing as John and Kevin in Area 2, i noticed Kevin fought more enemies in groups than John did but Kevin’s play style seem to encourage wanting to keep connecting attacks since he builds up a frenzy that increases attack speed with connecting hits

Given that the layout of areas and relic/run drops are random, i am wondering if the character i select is influencing the area’s generation (eg. choosing Kevin will make enemies show up in a way that encourages Kevin’s skill) or if the situations above is just part of the randomness?
