? What meaning do positive and negative values have in the centroid plot for genes?

I was working with a dataset containing genes. The central plot of the model after using "shrunken centroid" is like the following picture:

I noticed that they can all be negative together, is it true in general? and what does it mean when a gene has a negative value?
