AVI Composite Export

I wanted to increase the brightness/contrast of an AVI video I have.
What I did was go to the compositer, load the video file in the Movie Clip node, fixed what I wanted to fix but:
- The quality of the video seems to have dropped, looks more pixellated.
- I have no idea how to export the video file.
Does anybody know how to export a composited AVI file as an AVI or MP4 file?

As mentioned in the comment, use a file output node or connect your output to the composite node. It's important to make sure that you're telling Blender to use nodes, in the compositor windows make sure "use nodes" is checked.
