Blend character animation without blending rotation

Blender Asked by gage benham on August 19, 2020

In my nonlinear animation timeline, I have two strips that I am trying to blend. In one strip the character is laying down, in the other, he is doing an action upright. To combine the clips I have parented the armature to an empty and rotated it 90 degrees on the frame the clips transition. However if I try to blend the animation, it also blends this 90-degree rotation.

Without Blending:

Is there any way I can blend these animations without blending their rotation?
