What does 臉盆 "washbasin" mean when it's part of the names of dishes in Taiwan?

Chinese Language Asked on November 15, 2021

A restaurant just up the road from my hostel here in Taichung, Taiwan has some dishes including the characters 臉盆. When I looked them up I could only find the meaning “washbasin”. Even hunting the internet afterwards I couldn’t find any other meaning or useful reference to food.

臉盆 section of the menu

What could 臉盆 mean in this context?

臉盆 still means washbasin here, it's just that this washbasin is a very large bowl used for food.

A tonne more noodles and a lot more soup.
