What’s the pattern for Entry Form inputs for Assets meta data fields?

The templating pattern for Entry Form inputs for Assets files is clear enough.

But how can I provide inputs in an Entry Form for meta data pertaining to an Assets file?

For example, I have fields like:

• attrAlt for an ‘alt’ text image description
• attrHref for a URL the image will link to

Any help much appreciated.
