ispell-change-dictionary cannot change the dictionary to any other language other than english, american or default

Currently I am using spacemacs. I have installed spell checking layer by writing spell-checking on my dot-spacemacs-configuration-layer.

However when I try to use M-x ispell-change-dictionary it prompts only the variables english, american and default.

When I use C-h v ispell-dictionary-alist I get that its value is

Shouldn’t this also allow me to change the value to any of its other options?
