org-mode is it possible to assign 10 hours of work (todo) for today?

When planning, it is easy for me to overschedule things.
I’ll do this and do this and do that..

But then end up with doing fewer things than I have planned.

Is there a way for me assign each task estimated time (eg, I need 2 hours to do task 1, 1 hour for task 2) and see If I have overscheduled work for today?
