Temperature Question

Engineering Asked by Kevin Zefi on July 23, 2021

A thermistor, which has a Negative Temperature Coefficient (β) of 3300 (K) and a resistance ($R_o$) of $10text{ k}Omega$ at a reference temperature of 21ºC, is used to measure the temperature of an industrial process. If the resistance of the thermistor (RT) is reduced to $2text{ k}Omega$, calculate the temperature of the process.

Here’s what I got, it’s not finished because I didn’t know how to continue, and I also don’t know if it’s even correct:

$$begin{align}
3300K &= dfrac{T_2T_1}{T_2 – T_1} in(R1/R2)
3300,000 &= dfrac{T_2T_1}{T_2 – T_1} in(10K/2K)
3300,000 &= dfrac{21T_2}{T_2 – 21} 1.61
2049689.441 &= dfrac{21T_2}{T_2 – 21}
2049689.441(T_2 – 21) &= 21T_2
end{align}$$

Like I said, I don’t even know if I’m using the right formula.
