Expression request

I have a crush on someone. But I haven’t had a chance to talk to her yet. All the information I know about her comes from one of our mutual friends. I am not sure if I will still have such feelings for her when I get to know who she is in real life.

In this case, could I say something like the following?

I don’t know if it’s her as a person that I love, or maybe it’s just the image of her that attracts me.

There’re two elements that set off my alarm bells as soon as I wrote this sentence. "Her as a person" seems odd to me somehow, but I am not sure. Second, I doubt if "image" is the right word to use in this context. Maybe I could make it longer by saying:

… it’s just my perception of her that attracts me.

or

… it’s just my fantasy about her that attracts me.

Which one sounds more natural?
