change URI for tfs project

I’m using TFS 2016 in the company network and because of CoronaVirus we have to work from home, we make the access possible to our TFS with Public IP.
But from home all the project try to connect to the old address. I want to change the server address in the URI of the TFS connection.
I found the file ServerMap.xml and LocationServerMap.xml, and tried to change in those file but nothing happened

any help would be greatly appreciated
