Enabling jumbo frame on tg3

Server Fault Asked by Gli Illuminati on December 15, 2020

How can i enable jumbo frames (mtu 9000) on my network card with tg3 driver on debian system?

When i execute the command:

ifconfig eth0 mtu 9000

I received the error:

SIOCSIFMTU: Invalid argument

I tried to increase mtu with a lower number of 9000 but nothing changes.
I need to enable jumbo frames on tg3 driver.
