Setting a '*' star as a footnotemark mark

TeX - LaTeX Asked by Alberto Alvarez on December 2, 2020

I am struggling with indicating a footnote mark (‘star’ symbol – *) without actually having the footnote itself. I tried using footnotemark but it is giving me a number instead of a ‘star’ symbol – *. Can you please help me to resolve this issue?

Best regards
