Twin digits vs edtabular

TeX - LaTeX Asked on January 3, 2021

Everytime I write the same digit twice at the end of line in a edtabular environment, the engine encounters a problem whereby I get the following error:

"There’s no line here to end"

It will then proceed to assign a random line as the culprit.

My solution was to put double digits in a box. So, 22 –> mbox{22}. That does the trick. But if any of you know a more elegant solution, I welcome it.

Thank you,
