Mail::SPF: Uncaught error: long domain label at /usr/local/share/perl5/Error.pm line 37

I cannot update Mail::SPF package. When I run cpan Mail::SPF it fails with this error. It looks like a Perl error instead of an error with the package. I have Perl 5.10.1, the latest in Yum for CentOS 6.
