How to add categories to posts on specific future dates and time?

How can I add in admin page a functionality for each post to be able to choose for each post separately a specific future date and time (based on a date and time format settings configured in WordPress) to add a category (category slug: expired) to the ones it already has (not replacing the old categories)?

I’ve tried and searched many "post expire" plugins but they don’t work properly and haven’t been updated in a while or just change the post status from published to draft etc which doesn’t serve my needs.

Will really appreciate your help with that.
